Representative Earl Blumenauer voted
against passage of the FY 2010 Defense Department budget. Thanks, Earl. This was
the right vote. See previous blog here.
The other members of the Oregon
delegation voted for it.
There were thirteen recorded votes
on amendments, mostly cuts. Rep. Walden voted for 11 of those amendments, Rep.
Blumenauer for 6, Reps. DeFazio and Wu each voted for the same 2, and Schrader
voted for one (the first, RC 661, proposed by Rep. Murtha).
The following are the short descriptions of
the Defense Department budget amendments as show in the Library of Congress’
Thomas system (see here). The numbering is theirs. I’ve added after each amendment
how the Oregon House delegation voted with data from the Washington Post’s congressional
voting database (here).
