Schrader: Spending $88 billion in Afghanistan is unnecessary

Oregon Representative Kurt Schrader wants to cut defense spending for the war in Afghanistan by $88 billion. I agree and have signed his petition (here) which states:

It’s time to end the war in Afghanistan and bring our troops home with the dignity they deserve. Spending $88 billion to continue this overseas conflict is unnecessary, and could be put to better use rebuilding our economy and creating jobs.
