I think online education will significantly change education
as we know it today. I know neither how nor when. But I do note, and wonder about, this one
sentence in a post on Foreign Policy by David J. Rothkopf (here):
The other day a dean at a major DC-area academic institution indicated that he and others on his team had spent much of the summer developing the distance learning protocols they would employ if H1N1 virus required them to shut down their campus and send everyone home.
Are other universities, colleges, and K-12 educational institutions making similar back up plans? What does this mean for the growth on online education? Will swine flu change education as we know it today?
saying yes is not the appropriate answer but we can't avoid the fact that online classrooms are our future............
