Senator Ron Wyden says “Defense spending can be wasteful too.” He has joined Representatives Barney Frank, Ron Paul and Walter Jones in writing the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform to insist “that any deficit reduction package that is put forward include contributions from both military and domestic spending’’ (here). I agree. Senator Wyden has taken a very bold and useful position.
