Barrett Bingley spoke to a luncheon of the NW China Council Business Network on Wednesday, 1/19/11. He explained how to use Hong Kong to successfully enter the China market, and the benefits of the legal, tax and banking systems of Hong Kong. I’ve included photos of some of his slides below.
He is Business Development Manager for ICS Trust and is responsible for setting up Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprises, Representative Offices, and for advisory and remedy work in China. Barrett was recently the Senior Policy Advisory to past Canadian Ministers of International Trade and Foreign Affairs where he oversaw such diverse initiatives as the creation of Canada's Global Commerce Strategy and the Export Development Canada Legislative Review; and was a visiting scholar at the Indonesian Center for Strategic and International Studies. Barrett is a Commonwealth Scholar in International Relations with a Master's Degree from Victoria University of Wellington, NZ, and with a B.A from the Royal Military College of Canada.
